GOD IS GOOD! - Our readership goal, set FOUR YEARS AGO, was 12,000 readers.
Our first year showed about 3,500 readers, in the last year, 2009, we hit 11,894, 106 short of our {4} year, per year, goal. NOT BAD!
Religious Web sites are SLOW to develop. For a "one man" operation with help from {4} other Christian Authors. "Some bumps in the road," God's Eagle Nest" WILL continue to grow, annual readership, with GOD'S help who knows how far we will go!

God's Eagle Nest was inspired by The Holy Spirit. I, GunnyJC, sat by a window in our kitchen, Not the most glamorous of settings yet, as a gentle beeze blew in through the kitchen window, I DISTINCTLY heard the Holy Sprit say " create a Web Page for me, I have MUCH to say!"

MADE MY HAIR STAND AT ATTENTION AS I LISTENED TO BRIAN WILLIAMS COMMENT ON RELIGIOUS BELIEFS
IN THE USA; where they are GOING,and GOING FAST!!
READ YOUR CHRISTIAN BIBLE, - Ask your Pastor, Minister, Church Leader, for guidance. It seems that all tradegies in 2009 were RADICAL, most blamed on Muslims. ASK your religious leader, as the Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion in our Country, it is a PEACEFUL RELIGION!!

As many of you have read over the last four plus years, I am a comic strip fanatic!
Every now and then I see one strip that has a God given message to it. This one is just THAT!
In four panels we see a man RAVING to his wife, " I just read the Bible from front to last page!" - (A feat we all have either done or tried???)
The Wife contemplates a TRUISM; "There are two motives for people to read the Bible...."
Next column, "one is because they found the bible an inspiring book, hard to put down!
Last column, " the other is to BRAG ABOUT IT!!"
More truth than "funny fiction" in the strip,,,,Yes, I have read the bible several times but as C.H. Spurgeon MIGHT say, " WHY?-" my answer is I could read our Holy Bible from "crib to grave," AND STILL NOT LEARN ALL IT HAS TO SAY!!

Now God has even promised us; WHEN YOU PASS
THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU; AND
THROUGH THE RIVERS, THEY SHALL NOT OVERFLOW
YOU. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE FIRE, YOU
SHALL NOT BE BURNED, NOR SHALL THE FLAME
SCORCH YOU. ( ISAIAH 43:2 )
This verse is referring
to the Children passing through the Red Sea, and also the
protection HE gave to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego,
in the fiery furnace. Both are good examples of how God
has helped HIS Children in the past!
Therefore King David was able to boldly say; EVEN
THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE
SHADOW OF DEATH, I WILL FEAR NO EVIL, FOR
YOU ARE WITH ME; YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF,
THEY COMFORT ME. ( PSALMS 23:4 )
When you become worried or fearful know
that God will help you, just as HE has done for His Children
in the past! Therefore, you may boldly say; THE LORD
IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION; WHOM SHALL
I FEAR? THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE;
OF WHOM SHALL I BE AFRAID?

** Backbone **
I was digging through some of my older Scriptural and comments like Backbone.
Around 1933, this small Publication was written to combat the "down" feeling we all got from The Great Depression. SOME GOOD THOUGHT!!
We Americans are a hearty group! Not a whole lot can get us down!
" DOESN'T MATTER..."
JUST BE A GOOD FELLOW, whatever YOU DO;
the skies may be GLOOMY
OR
shiny and blue.
It doesn't at all matter the HUE of the skies,
just so the SUN shines in your heart and your eyes!
A "hello" to people who "hello" to you!, and "howdy"
to Children you meet down the way.
IT DOESN'T AT ALL MATTER THE "HUE" OF THE DAY!!
The Harvests are gathered , the corn is all shocked. The doors of the
storehouse of plenty, un-locked.
The srtrings of the fiddle vibrating in tune,
and the world is DEW-WET in the LIGHT OF THE MOON!
SO, laugh and be GLAD FOR LIFE IS BUT A JOKE;
find the RIBS OF THE WORLD and just land them a poke!
THE SKIES may be dark, or Sun-shiny and blue.
BUT, the hue of the skies;
DOESN'T MATTER TO YOU!!!

These treasures of writing were written during our countries "Great Depression."
Lets face it folks, I was born in 1933, remember the soup kitchen lines, the downcast faces.
The United States of America had NEVER seen such a "BOTTOM!" We SURVIVED, we GREW, We LEARNED.
NOW, we face the same situation, we HAVE learned, We HAVE SURVIVED. No bankers jumping out of tall buildings in 2009,( TRUE, Bankers knew no other way!) Your friendly former Exexutive now delivers Pizza or some other menial task. He is trying!!!
GOD is NOT going to let this "bump in the road" compared to the Great Depression," get us down! NOT IF WE PLACE OUR FAITH IN HIM!
Think about it, what worked before to combat unhappy times for us all MAY work agai
n. IF GOD SO DESIRES! GOD DOES DESIRE, and wants us to see life as IT IS, OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

PLACES OF UNWARRANTED JUDGEMENT, FROM THOSE PLACES TO GOLGATHA, THEN, HEAVEN, GOD DOESN'T QUIT!

The birth of Jesus is narrated at the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke, but is not mentioned in Mark, and alluded to very differently in John. READ your BIBLE, make up your OWN MIND!

BE KIND; IT MAKES YOUR LIFE LIKE A JUNE DAY, attracts friends and CONFOUNDS ENEMIES! Be JUST; you never can tell the fellow to whom you are UNJUST will have the SCREWS ON YOU. Be JOYOUS, there is but one life to live, and to miss having any gratification out of it is a calamity, indeed.

It is an HONOR reading of Jesus in the Book of Luke and Acts! Luke, capable of writing and condensing the words of Matthew, Mark and John. It is also reported Luke wrote Acts, an IMPORTANT read! TRY IT?

God IS IN CONTROL of these uncertain times, THE ECONOMY, OUR LIVES IN GENERAL.
As Psalm 147:4-5 states clearly;
HE determines the number of the stars and calls them EACH by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding...... HAS NO LIMIT.
